PerGram is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a visitor.
Data We Collect
PerGram is a price comparison tool. We do not require user accounts, and we collect minimal data to operate the site:
- Anonymous session identifier — A randomly generated ID stored in a cookie to associate your browsing session with actions like affiliate link clicks and email subscriptions. This ID is not linked to your name, email, or any personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily provide it (e.g., by subscribing to email alerts).
- Email address — Only if you voluntarily subscribe to price alerts or newsletters. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Aggregate analytics — We use privacy-friendly analytics tools (Vercel Analytics, and optionally Plausible or Umami) to understand page views and site usage. These tools do not use third-party tracking cookies and do not collect personally identifiable information.
Cookies
PerGram uses a small number of cookies, all of which are first-party and essential to site operation:

Both cookies are HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax. The pg_session cookie is set with the Secure flag in production. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
How We Use Your Data
- Affiliate attribution — When you click a “Buy” link and make a purchase at a retailer, your session ID helps us attribute the click for commission tracking. No personal data is shared with retailers beyond what the retailer collects independently.
- Site improvement — Aggregate analytics help us understand which categories and features are most useful.
- Email communication — If you subscribe, we send price alerts and updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
Third-Party Services
PerGram uses the following third-party services:
- Vercel — Hosting and privacy-friendly web analytics.
- Affiliate networks — Amazon Associates, iHerb/Awin, ShareASale, and CJ Affiliate. When you click an affiliate link, you are redirected to the retailer's website, which has its own privacy policy.
- Neon — Database hosting for product and pricing data.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your Rights
- GDPR (EU residents). You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Since we collect minimal data and do not require accounts, most visitors have no personal data stored beyond an anonymous session ID.
- CCPA (California residents). You have the right to know what personal information is collected, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale. PerGram does not sell personal information.
- Cookie control. You can clear or block cookies at any time through your browser settings. Blocking cookies will not prevent you from browsing PerGram, but session-based features (like click attribution) will not function.
Data Retention
Anonymous session cookies expire after 30 days of inactivity. Affiliate click records are retained for commission reconciliation and reporting purposes. If you subscribe to email alerts, your email address is retained until you unsubscribe. Aggregate analytics data does not contain personally identifiable information and is retained indefinitely.
